Doctrinal Statement of Beliefs

We believe the Bible (66 books) is the inspired and inerrant Word of God in the original documents and is sufficient and our authority for all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

We believe there is a deity of one true God existing eternally in three separate, but equal, persons which we refer to as the Trinity.  (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true Man.  He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a human death, was buried, and was resurrected. This Gospel is our means of salvation and reconciliation to God by which we receive forgiveness for sin and complete justification.  (Romans 4-5; John 19 & 20; 1 Corinthians 15:1-5; 2 Corinthians 5:14-15)

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all believers, baptizes them into the body of Christ, empowers them for witnessing and seals them until the day of redemption.  His ministry always glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ.  (Acts 1:8; John 14, 16; Rom 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13-14)

We believe that all mankind was created in the image and likeness of God, but in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sin nature with consequent alienation from God and the need to be born again to have eternal life. (Genesis 1:26-27, 3:6-7; John 3:1-8, 17, 14:6; Acts 4:12)

We believe that salvation is a gift from God by His grace alone without man’s efforts or deeds. (Romans 5:15-18, 6:23, 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:4-10)

We believe that although man has free will and is responsible for his actions, that due to the fall, man will not, on his own seek God.  Therefore, God’s grace in salvation is His sovereign action and without His choosing some for salvation, before the foundation of the world, all would be lost and destined for hell. (John 1:12-13; 6:37-44, 65; Acts 13:48; Romans 9:11-24; Ephesians 1:3-5; 2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5)

We believe that since salvation is by grace, it is impossible for any believer to lose it.   This is normally referred to as the security of the believer. (John 3:15-18, 10:28-29; Romans 8:35-39; Ephesians 1:1-14; 1 Peter 1:3-5)

We believe God created heaven and earth from nothing in 6 literal, 24 hour days. (Genesis 1, Exodus 20:11)

We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are to be observed by the church. (Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 21, 11:23-28; Acts 20:7)

We believe in the Pre-Tribulation rapture of the church. (1 Corinthians 15:50-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 5:8-11)

We believe that Christ will come again in person, bodily, visibly, to establish His millennial Kingdom on the earth.  All who trusted Him as Savior will live eternally with Him and unbelievers will be condemned to everlasting conscious judgment (Daniel 9:27, 12:1-2; Zechariah 14:4; Matthew 24; Revelation 17:14, 19:11-21, 20, 21:1-7)

We believe in the Gospel as the good news which God has graciously accomplished for sinners through His son Jesus Christ by His sinless life, sacrificial death, and bodily resurrection.

We believe our sanctification is led by the Holy Spirit as we become more Christ like and grow in our knowledge of our Lord.

We believe the Bible should be interpreted normally by a consistently literal hermeneutic.

We believe that God’s plan for history demands a consistent distinction between national Israel and the Church.

We believe God has outlined in His Word (Bible) distinct dispensations where God makes & reveals man’s responsibilities.  These dispensations are referred to as Innocence (Gen 1:28); Conscience (Gen 3:7); Civil Government (Gen 8:15); Promise/Patriarchal Rule (Gen 12:1); Mosaic Law (Ex 19:1); Church/Grace (Acts 2:1); Millennium Kingdom (Rev 20:4).

We believe in the fundamental equality of male and female in God’s eyes (Galatians 3:28) and the principle of male headship in the church and home. (Genesis 1-2; 1 Corinthians 11:3, 8-9; Ephesians 5:22-23; Titus 2:5 1 Peter 3:1)

We believe that God’s plan for marriage is the joining of one man and one woman as one flesh, not to be broken. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:6; Romans 7:2; 1 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22-23)
